SEIS BENEFICIOS
AL ANDAR CONFORME A ESTAS REGLAS
Beneficio 1. La atención estricta y cuidadosa a estas reglas pondrá un lustre sobre la religión delante del mundo, y la hará gloriosa a los ojos de quienes ahora la desprecian, Tito 2:10. para que adornen en todo la doctrina de nuestro Salvador Dios. Lo cual dice aquí para animar a todos a un andar ordenado.
Beneficio 2. Esto atraerá y ganará al mundo para Cristo, y de manera maravillosa hará prosperar y adelantar el designio del evangelio, Filipenses 2:15, 16. Para que seáis irreprensibles y sencillos, hijos de Dios sin culpa en medio de la nación maligna y perversa, etc. Para que yo pueda gloriarme en el día de Cristo, que no he corrido en vano, ni trabajado en vano.
Beneficio 3. Esto tapará con eficacia la boca de todos los enemigos detractores y blasfemos de la religión, 1 Pedro 2:15. Porque esta es la voluntad de Dios; que haciendo bien, hagáis callar la ignorancia de los hombres vanos.
Beneficio 4. Esto glorificará de manera eminente a Dios, que es el fin último de nuestro ser, Mateo 5:16. Así alumbre vuestra luz delante de los hombres, para que vean vuestras obras buenas, y glorifiquen á vuestro Padre que está en los cielos.
Beneficio 5. Esto llenará al pueblo de Dios (por vía de evidencia) de mucha paz interior, Gálatas 6:16. Y todos los que anduvieren conforme á esta regla, paz sobre ellos, y sobre el Israel de Dios.
Beneficio 6. Esto asegurará la presencia de Dios con nosotros y entre nosotros; de donde resultan tanto la eficacia de las ordenanzas como la estabilidad y la gloria de las iglesias: porque Cristo anda entre los candeleros de oro y amenaza a las iglesias, en caso de abandono de las reglas del evangelio, con quitar el candelero de su lugar, si no te hubieres arrepentido, Apocalipsis 2:1, 5.

SIX BENEFITS
IN WALKING BY THESE RULES
Benefit 1. Strict and heedful attendance to these rules, will put a lustre upon religion before the world, and make it glorious in the eyes of such as now despise it, Tit. ii. 10. Adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. Which he here speaks, to encourage all to ordinate walking.
Benefit 2. This will allure and win the world over to Christ, and wonderfully prosper and further the design of the gospel, Phil. ii. 15, 16. That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, &c. That I may rejoin in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
Benefit 3. This will effectually stop the mouths of all the detracting and blaspheming enemies of religion, 1 Pet. ii. 15. For so is the will of God, that with well-doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men.
Benefit 4. This will eminently glorify God, which is the ultimate end of our beings, Matt. v. 16. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your father which is in heaven.
Benefit 5. This will fill the people of God (by way of evidence) which much inward peace, Gal. vi. 16. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and upon the Israel of God.
Benefit 6. This will secure the presence of God with, and among us; whence results both the efficacy of ordinances, and the stability and glory of the churches: for Christ walks among the golden candlesticks, and threatens the churches, in case of defection from gospel rules, to remove the candlestick out of his place, except they repent, Rev. ii. 1, 5.
